Dale, whose university studies were in philosophy and history, is also known as the writer and director
of the film, Death of A Red Planet, a space opera in Cinemascope with quadraphonic sound. Sequences
from Red Planet appear in Terry Gilliam’s Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Dale worked as art
director with designer Allan Cameron to create the set of Paul Verhoeven’s The Hollow Man.
Dale is currently working on a novel, Céline on Fire. Set in Paris, 1955 to 1961—it is
a love story, a triangular relationship between a Parisian writer, an American
musician and the younger sister, Cèline, a dancer.
