Behind the house, a little gorge leads to the hidden valley.

Hiking through the boulders, one will spy cactus wrens, ravens, owls and hawks.
Sometimes a rare Chuckawalla iguana or a Mojave Desert tortoise can be seen.

Wayland: “The house was a perfect base for our various hikes. It was most
enjoyable watching the bunnies, quail and other birds around the
house and having fragrant cut roses in the bedroom.”
